Authors' Festival Recap
A good crowd of GPC students, faculty and staff and community members attended the 1st Decatur Campus Authors' Festival: A Celebration of New African-American Writers over the weekend in the Student Center. The program featured readings from around 24 authors working in genres ranging from fiction to inspirational works to poetry and children's books.
David Free, Decatur Campus Reference Librarian, facilitated the program and served as moderator for the well received Question & Answer sessions.
Books signings at the end of each day allowed attendees to interact with the writers up close and personally.
The program was enjoyed by all. Thanks to the Authors' Festival Committee for organizing this wonderful event!
