American Poetry 1 and 2

In our continuing celebration of National Poetry Month, we're going to highlight a few of the poetry resources that are available through the library.

American Poetry 1 and American Poetry 2 are GALILEO databases that provide full text access to thousands of poems by American authors. American Poetry 1 covers the years 1600-1900 and American Poetry 2 covers 1901-1997. Both are searchable by author, title or keyword. Remember, these databases provide the actual text of poems, not criticism. But if you're looking for an American poem, they're the place to go!
