GALILEO Quick Search

If you've logged in to GALILEO in the past day or so you may have noticed a big change! Instead of seeing the Academic Search Premier database on the front page, you are now looking at GALILEO Quick Search. The Quick Search allows you to search multiple databases by subject areas and see selected results from all of them in the same list. You can also choose to view all of the results in each database.

Take a look at the About GALILEO Quick Search page to find out more information. Or ask at the reference desk!

Of course you can still search GALILEO databases one at a time and if you miss Academic Search Premier, it is in most of the Quick Search subject options and is also accessible to serarch in most subject folders.

Listen Up! #14

The March 2006 edition of Listen Up!, our monthly news and information podcast program, is now available.

Listen Up! #14 (mp3 - 58:49)

The show is listenable directly from the blog by clicking on the above link, right click and save as...to download or by subscribing to either the Decatur Campus Library or Listen Up! podcast feeds.

3/7/06 Update!: The download times have improved. It may still be somewhat slow due to the length of the program but should work fine with a little patience. Saving to your desktop still seems to be somewhat faster than streaming.

This edition features library and Symposium essay contest news along with readings from the Spring 2006 GPC Writers Institute Faculty Development Day Open Mic.

See the Listen Up! blog for detailed program information.
